New Delhi, August 23, 2022: Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, has described the insulting of the Prophet (PBUH) by Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Thakur Raja Singh as very shameful and shocking. Maulana Madani called it also a disgraceful act for the country causing its disputation at the international fora. Maulana Madani said that the arrest of Raja Singh and the disciplinary action by the party was the need of the hour. However, it is not sufficient until such offenders are given exemplary punishment. Maulana Madani also demanded stringent and prompt action against the Ex- BJP MLA who recently confessed that he had killed Muslims through mob lynching.
Maulana Madani said that the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has always been demanding that a law should be made to protect the sanctity and greatness of religious greats. He appealed to the people to maintain peace and order and avoid taking law into their hands.
