Dubai Police Academy to Operate Under New Law Issued by Sheikh Mohammed

The law designates the Academy as a centre of excellence in policing, legal, and security education, aimed at preparing highly qualified professionals for service in police forces.

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued Law No. (7) of 2026 concerning the Dubai Police Academy.

The legislation designates the Academy as a centre of excellence for policing, legal, and security education, aimed at preparing highly qualified personnel for service in police, security, and military institutions.

Under the new law, the Dubai Police Academy will focus on delivering high-quality and innovative education, supporting research and continuous development, and fostering military discipline, accountability, and strong institutional values. The legislation also outlines the Academy’s mandate, scope of work, and organisational structure.
