Iran War Updates: Trump Predicts Conflict Will End Soon; Strikes Continue in Gulf
US–Israel–Iran War Updates:
US President Donald Trump has said that the United States and Israel are close to achieving their military objectives in Iran, suggesting that the conflict could end “very soon.” However, he indicated that the fighting is unlikely to conclude within this week as operations continue across the region.
Meanwhile, large crowds have gathered in several Iranian cities to show support for the country’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, even as sustained US and Israeli bombardment continues. The demonstrations come at a time of heightened uncertainty and escalating military pressure on Tehran.
Iran has also intensified its counterattacks, targeting Israeli positions and US-linked military assets across the Middle East. Strikes have been reported in and around Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. In Israel, at least two people have been reported killed amid ongoing missile and drone attacks.
At the same time, fighting has intensified along Israel’s northern front, where Israeli forces and Hezbollah continue to exchange fire. The death toll from Israeli strikes in Lebanon has now surpassed 486, according to local reports.
