Jamiat delegation meets Turkey Minister of Justice 

A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is spearheading relief work in Antakiya and Kaharman Ma’raash

So far 1,000 sleeping mattresses, blankets and other essential items of  daily use distributed 

New Delhi 03, 2023 : The delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind met with Bekir Bozdağ Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye, yesterday and offered every kind of help from Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind .

Bekir Bozdağ welcomed the proposal and ensured cooperation on the part of the government.

 

A delegation of senior leaders of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind immediately launched relief work in the devastated Antakiya province after reaching there .

So far the team led by Jamiat’s General Secretary Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi has distributed 1,000 sleeping mattresses, blankets and other items of essential daily use amongst the affected.

The Jamiat delegation also distributed food kits in Kaharman Mar’ash city in cooperation with Al Khair Foundation chaired by Maulana Imam Qasim.

The devastating earthquake in south and central Turkiye, which damaged more than 500,000 homes in ten provinces, also resulted in huge loss of life, displacement of survivors and dearth of medical supplies and essential commodities.

The entire city of Antakiya was reduced to rubble . In the freezing cold, a large number of people were forced to move into tens of thousands of tents, but still many have nothing to cover their heads .
