ISTD Organises 2023 Convocation at PHD House New Delhi

The Annual Convocation of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) was held at PHD House,New Deelhi in last days . The Convocation was presided over by Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, ED & Head IIPM and Chairman IFTDO and was the Chief Speaker on this occasion.

ISTD correspondant Mr Gurvinder and Manwar said Total 217 students were awarded the certificate of ‘Diploma’ & ‘PG Diploma in Training & Development’ and 61 students got the certificate of merit in Individual Papers. The batch topper award will be conferred on Mr. Tamilselvan Karthikeyan from Chennai of 84th batch and Mr. Ashish Ranjan Mishra from Mumbai of 83rd batch.

Dr. Alka Mittal, Chairperson, Diploma Board welcomed Chief Speaker, Students, Diploma Board Members and Guests to be a part of Convocation 2023. She declared the Convocation open and then administered the oath to the Students.

Ms. Anita Chauhan gave her words of wisdom to the Diploma Awardees. She congratulated the Diploma Students for successfully completed the Diploma Program and it is just a beginning of another relationship through Diploma Alumni Association which would be active in full swing very soon and will be associated for lifetime.

    
Over the years, we have worked upon keeping our Diploma Program abreast with the latest happenings in the Industry and our present curriculum is comparable to the PG programs in Training & HRD offered across the globe. Also from this platform I invite all of you to Jaipur on 8-9-December, where we would be having our National Conclave-2023 on the theme- Navigating the Future where Global Business and HR Leaders would be sharing their thoughts on multiple sub-themes with L&D as the pivot.

ISTD has done the work of connecting the country in the last 53 years and through its Diploma program we have united the Training Fraternity of the entire country in the last 45 years. Through our more than 50 chapters we have been running this Diploma program.

She further added that in ISTD we have nurtured the Art of Giving where we focus on what I have given to the Society & ROA – Return on Association – measuring how much I have provided to the Society after associating.

Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra congratulated all the Students who successfully completed their Diploma Program and he was happy to share that around 37% Students were women. He spoke about his experiences of life both professional and personal which he encapsulated in 2 letters:  ‘3A’s &  ‘3E’s.

3As are Agility, Adaptability and Alignment. Dr. Mohapatra emphasized that a person can overcome any obstacles in life if they are Agile and the Adaptability becomes the tool in the process. All the Companies or People who were Agile and Adaptable during the Covid times was easier to adapt themselves with the changing times or the new normal. No matter how much a person is Agile or become Adaptable to the change but as long as he is not aligned with the end goal or the vision of the company, the desired results are not achieved.

So it’s very important to have these 3As to sail through any situation and aim to achieve our goals. 3Es are Empathize, Engagement and Empower. Dr. Mohapatra mention that empathy is something which is natural to human beings. A person who is empathic will always try to put oneself in others situation and take better decisions.

Engagement is another aspect and is a positive way of looking things where you make others feel important. He spoke that it doesn’t involve to keep others busy but rather listening to makes a difference. Last but not the least is to Empower. If we empower our colleagues, then actions taken are natural & vibrant and thus we build future leaders for our organizations.Dr. Mohapatra ended his speech wishing best of luck to all the Diploma Students.

Mr. D V Shastry, Vice Chairperson, Diploma Board gave the vote of thanks and thanked the Chief Speaker for their kind presence. The Convocation lasted for two hours and was followed by Dinner.

 

इंडियन सोसाइटी फॉर ट्रेनिंग एंड डेवलपमेंट (आईएसटीडी) का वार्षिक दीक्षांत समारोह पीएचडी हाउस, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया। दीक्षांत समारोह की अध्यक्षता डॉ. रंजन कुमार महापात्र, ईडी और प्रमुख आईआईपीएम और अध्यक्ष आईएफटीडीओ ने की और इस अवसर पर मुख्य वक्ता थे।

आईएसटीडी संवाददाता श्री गुरविंदर और मनवर ने कहा कि कुल 217 छात्रों को ‘डिप्लोमा’ और ‘पीजी डिप्लोमा इन ट्रेनिंग एंड डेवलपमेंट’ का प्रमाण पत्र दिया गया और 61 छात्रों को व्यक्तिगत पेपर में योग्यता का प्रमाण पत्र दिया गया। बैच टॉपर पुरस्कार 84वें बैच के चेन्नई के श्री तमिलसेल्वन कार्तिकेयन और 83वें बैच के मुंबई के श्री आशीष रंजन मिश्रा को प्रदान किया जाएगा।

डिप्लोमा बोर्ड की अध्यक्ष डॉ. अलका मित्तल ने दीक्षांत समारोह 2023 का हिस्सा बनने के लिए मुख्य वक्ता, छात्रों, डिप्लोमा बोर्ड के सदस्यों और मेहमानों का स्वागत किया। उन्होंने दीक्षांत समारोह के उद्घाटन की घोषणा की और फिर छात्रों को शपथ दिलाई।

सुश्री अनिता चौहान ने डिप्लोमा पुरस्कार विजेताओं को अपने ज्ञान के शब्द दिये। उन्होंने डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम को सफलतापूर्वक पूरा करने के लिए डिप्लोमा छात्रों को बधाई दी और यह डिप्लोमा एलुमनी एसोसिएशन के माध्यम से एक और रिश्ते की शुरुआत है जो जल्द ही पूरे जोरों पर सक्रिय हो जाएगा और जीवन भर जुड़ा रहेगा।

इन वर्षों में, हमने अपने डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम को उद्योग में नवीनतम घटनाओं से अवगत रखने पर काम किया है और हमारा वर्तमान पाठ्यक्रम दुनिया भर में पेश किए जाने वाले प्रशिक्षण और मानव संसाधन विकास में पीजी कार्यक्रमों के बराबर है।

इसके अलावा इस मंच से मैं आप सभी को 8-9 दिसंबर को जयपुर में आमंत्रित करता हूं, जहां हमारा राष्ट्रीय कॉन्क्लेव-2023 थीम- नेविगेटिंग द फ्यूचर पर होगा, जहां वैश्विक व्यापार और मानव संसाधन नेता कई उप-विषयों पर अपने विचार साझा करेंगे

आईएसटीडी ने पिछले 53 वर्षों में देश को जोड़ने का काम किया है और अपने डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से हमने पिछले 45 वर्षों में पूरे देश की प्रशिक्षण बिरादरी को एकजुट किया है। अपने 50 से अधिक अध्यायों के माध्यम से हम इस डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम को चला रहे हैं।

उन्होंने आगे कहा कि आईएसटीडी में हमने देने की कला को बढ़ावा दिया है, जहां हम इस बात पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं कि मैंने सोसायटी और आरओए को क्या दिया है – रिटर्न ऑन एसोसिएशन – यह मापते हुए कि मैंने जुड़ने के बाद सोसायटी को कितना प्रदान किया है।

डॉ. रंजन कुमार महापात्र ने उन सभी छात्रों को बधाई दी जिन्होंने अपना डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया और उन्हें यह बताते हुए खुशी हुई कि लगभग 37% छात्र महिलाएं थीं। उन्होंने पेशेवर और व्यक्तिगत जीवन के अपने अनुभवों के बारे में बात की, जिसे उन्होंने 2 अक्षरों में व्यक्त किया: ‘3ए’ और ‘3ई’।

3ए चपलता, अनुकूलनशीलता और संरेखण हैं। डॉ. महापात्र ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि अगर कोई व्यक्ति चुस्त है तो वह जीवन में किसी भी बाधा को पार कर सकता है और अनुकूलनशीलता इस प्रक्रिया में उपकरण बन जाती है। सभी कंपनियां या लोग जो कोविड के समय में चुस्त और अनुकूलनीय थे, उनके लिए बदलते समय या नए सामान्य के साथ खुद को ढालना आसान था।

इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि कोई व्यक्ति कितना भी चुस्त हो या परिवर्तन के लिए अनुकूल हो जाए, लेकिन जब तक वह अंतिम लक्ष्य या कंपनी के दृष्टिकोण के साथ संरेखित नहीं होता है, तब तक वांछित परिणाम प्राप्त नहीं होते हैं। इसलिए किसी भी स्थिति से निपटने और अपने लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए इन 3ए का होना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। 3E हैं सहानुभूति, जुड़ाव और सशक्तीकरण।

डॉ. महापात्र ने उल्लेख किया है कि सहानुभूति एक ऐसी चीज़ है जो मनुष्य के लिए स्वाभाविक है। सहानुभूति रखने वाला व्यक्ति हमेशा खुद को दूसरों की स्थिति में रखने और बेहतर निर्णय लेने का प्रयास करेगा। सगाई एक और पहलू है और चीजों को देखने का एक सकारात्मक तरीका है जहां आप दूसरों को महत्वपूर्ण महसूस कराते हैं।

उन्होंने कहा कि इसमें दूसरों को व्यस्त रखना शामिल नहीं है, बल्कि सुनने से फर्क पड़ता है। अंतिम लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण बात सशक्त बनाना है। यदि हम अपने सहयोगियों को सशक्त बनाते हैं, तो किए गए कार्य स्वाभाविक और जीवंत होते हैं और इस प्रकार हम अपने संगठनों के लिए भविष्य के नेताओं का निर्माण करते हैं।डॉ. महापात्र ने सभी डिप्लोमा छात्रों को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए अपना भाषण समाप्त किया।

डिप्लोमा बोर्ड के उपाध्यक्ष श्री डी वी शास्त्री ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव दिया और मुख्य वक्ता को उनकी दयालु उपस्थिति के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। दीक्षांत समारोह दो घंटे तक चला और उसके बाद रात्रिभोज का आयोजन किया गया।
