AAU Pays tribute to Former Ambassador Dr, Beni Prasad
New delhi//top bureau:://The executive body of Association for Asian union (AAU) met on 11th Feb 2019 to pay tribute to late Dr, Beni Prasad Agarwal , The President of AAU at B 94 defence colony office.
Dr, Beni passed on 4th Feb 2019 after a brief illness in New Delhi .His diplomatic career witnessed several assignments as Ambassador to many foreign countries including Russia and Germany .
A resolution was passed in the meeting stating that AAU will work hard to carry forward the unfinished work of the late President ie new strategic approach of AAU & Asia Pacific Cooperation (APC) for uniting Asia .The executive body unanimously made Wing Commodore Praful Bakhshi , the new President of AAU&APC.
It was also decided to hold the next meeting in March 2019 for deliberating on the following points
1. AAU inviting Diplomatic Persons from neighboring countries and some UNDP/UNO officials at Delhi-which is overdue.
2. Fund raising and membership campaign
3. Active role by office bearers of AAU & APC
4. A video film or Documentary and preparing a colourful brochure of AAU & APC.
