The meeting of the GC Members was convened primarily to deliberate on the forthcoming International Conference titled “Sustainable Development and Peace among Asia Pacific Countries (APC), with a Focus on Media, Art & Culture, Climate Change, and Health.”
In addition to the GC Members in New Delhi, the heads of the Chapters in Sydney (Australia), Dubai (UAE), and Chennai (South India), along with Dr. Tanima Banerjee, Founder & Director of Bandana Cultural School, Sydney, participated in the discussions. The members collectively arrived at a considered decision regarding the central theme of the Conference.
Recognising the importance and contemporary relevance of the Conference particularly its focus on sustainable development across the APC members agreed to invite a Union Minister as the Chief Guest, along with several Ambassadors/High Commissioners from APC nations. Senior bureaucrats and leading industrialists will also be invited to share their insights on the pressing issues of development and peace.
Opening the deliberations, Shri J. S. Saluja, President of AAPU, referred to the key recommendations of the International Conference held in Dubai (UAE) on 27 February 2025. It was unanimously resolved that for the sustainable development of APC nations, regional unity is indispensable.

Countries must share their experience, expertise, knowledge, and resources to identify the most effective pathways for development rather than depending on financial or technological assistance from developed nations. In essence: “Unite for development or perish.”
Dr. Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios strongly emphasised that Art, Culture, and Media can play a pivotal role in bringing APC countries together on a common platform to advance the mission of sustainable development.
Wing Commander (Dr.) Praful Bakshi highlighted that sustainable development can be achieved only when peace and security are firmly ensured across the region. The International Conference is scheduled for 21 February 2026 at the India International Centre.
