Eight Palestinians Killed, Dozens Injured as Israeli Strikes Pound Gaza Amid Egypt Ceasefire Talks
At least eight Palestinians were killed and 61 others injured in the latest Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip within 24 hours, the enclave’s Health Ministry reported.
The escalation comes even as ceasefire negotiations continue for a third day in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition said Israeli forces attacked its convoy and intercepted several vessels attempting to reach Gaza by sea.
Meanwhile, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has been named in a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing her government of “complicity in genocide” over its support for Israel’s ongoing military campaign.
Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 67,000 people and injured nearly 170,000, while thousands remain trapped beneath the rubble. In Israel, the October 7 attacks left 1,139 dead and about 200 people taken captive.
