Saudi Arabia on Monday lifted a temporary ban on direct and indirect travel to Ethiopia, Turkey, Vietnam and India, an official source at the Ministry of Interior said. Earlier this month, the kingdom lifted measures imposed to prevent the spread of the virus, including a requirement to wears face masks indoors.

The lifting of the ban was based on the follow-up to the Covid-19 pandemic and reports submitted by the health authorities regarding the global epidemiological situation. It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia on June. 7 has lifted the direct and indirect ban on Saudi citizens from traveling to Indonesia.

The General Directorate of Passports announced earlier that Saudi citizens have been banned from traveling to 11 countries due to the spread of COVID-19 cases in those countries. The list of countries includes Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Armenia, Belarus, and Venezuela.
