Subject: Invitation to Seminar on lives and contributions of Maulana Hifzur Rahman Seoharvi and Maulana Fakhruddin Moradabadi on December 22, 23 2022

Respected Sir/Madam

In the sequel to celebrating 100 years of the foundation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH), we are highlighting the prominent role played by its founders and leaders who carved a niche for themselves in the pages of history.
Among those stalwarts were Maulana Hifzurrahman Seharvi (101-1962) and Maulana Fakhruddin Moradabadi (1889-1972). Maulana Hifzurrahman was a prominent Islamic scholar, notable writer, Parliamentarian and a leader in India’s freedom struggle movement. He served as General Secretary of Jamiat for about 17 years (1945-1962). He fought against British rule for about 25 years and spent eight years in jail. He was a reputed parliamentarian who served as a member of Indian Parliament from 1952 to 1962. In post-Independent India, he played a crucial role in chartering a road map for the Indian Muslims.

Likewise, Maualna Fakhruddin Moradabadi was also connected with national politics from the time of the Khilāfat Movement, as a result of which he too had to bear the hardships and rigors of imprisonment. He was a great Islamic scholar and Shaikhul Hadith of Darul Uloom at Deoband. He was President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind from 1960 till his last breath on April 5, 1972.

To celebrate and highlight their lives, contributions and achievements, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is holding two days long seminar on on December 22, 23 2022 at NDMC Convention Center, New Delhi and Madani Hall ITO ,New Delhi at. You are kindly requested to please depute your reporter, correspondent/photographer and cameraman etc. to cover the event.
