Joint Demand to Punish Babri Masjid culprits

Let us unite against state organised communal violence and terror! • An attack on one is an attack on all!• Let us build a society which is based on justice for all!

The demolition of Babri Masjid on 6 December 1992 and the communal violence that followed resulting in massacre of Muslims in Mumbai and other parts of the country, continues to haunt the country – not as a memory of the past, but as a painful reality that has been repeated over and over again – in Gujarat in 2002, in Muzaffarnagar in 2013, as well as in Trilokpuri and Bawana and other parts of Delhi in 2014, in the encounter killings in Bhopal in 2016, in the episodes of communal and sectarian violence in Odisha and Assam, in the continued denial of justice for the genocide of Sikhs in 1984.

Let us come together, irrespective of religion, language, caste, racial, regional or other differences and resolve to continue to fight till the guilty are punished. Let us fight for radical political reforms that will truly empower our people and build a modern and civilized India. Let us fight for legislation and mechanisms to prevent state-organised communal violence in future. We appeal to you to join the Demonstration from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar and public meeting at Jantar Mantar on the 24th anniversary of demolition of Babri Masjid and provide print and video coverage in your newspaper/TV channel/online channel.
