Indian armed forces reached Sri Lanka

19 officers from 3 services of Indian armed forces reached Sri Lanka

New Delhi: Nineteen officers from the three services of the Indian armed forces have reached Sri Lanka yesterday. The Officers are on a week-long strategic study tour under the 46th Higher Air Command Course. The delegation consists of selected officers under training for Senior Command and Staff Appointments from the three services.

The Officers will call on Sri Lanka’s Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Shavendra Silva and Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and Director General of Coast Guard Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana along with other senior defence officials of Sri Lanka’s Armed Forces.

The delegation would be visiting Colombo Dockyard, Mattala International Airport and defence establishments as part of the visit. The visit serves as an opportunity to further strengthen India’s defence partnership with Sri Lanka. AIR
