Bangalore, 30th April 2017 : Friends of Mali in India was launched at a grand public program by Mali Ambassador in India His Excellency Niankoro Yeah Samake at Karnataka College in North Bengaluru. Senior BJP leader & President Delhi Study Group Vijay Jolly graced the occasion as Guest of Honor. Thousands of foreign students in their colorful national attire cheered, clapped & danced on the occasion.

Gold rich Mali is a business treasure for Indian entrepreneurs while Indian PM Narendra Modi & BJP President Amit Shah are keen to Promote People to People Friendship stated Vijay Jolly in the inaugural address. Mali’s estimated 600-1000 tonnes of Gold Reserves peg Mali as the 3rd leading Gold producer after South Africa & Ghana said Jolly. Considerable scope exists for production of gold, fabrication & jewellery in Mali. 15 million Mali population is a good market for Indian generic medicines & pharmaceutical products stated Indian BJP leader Vijay Jolly. We are committed To Promote People to People Friendship between India & Mali said Mr. Jolly.

Mali & India have rich cultural heritage stated Ambassador Niankoro. Indian bollywood movies, TV serials & Indian dresses are popular in Mali. Indians are held in high esteem by local Malian’s. The bilateral trade of USD 350.72 in 2015-2016 needs to be doubled in 2017-2018. And we all have to work as a team in Mali & India stated Ambassador Niankoro.

Celebration of 2nd International Day of Yoga on 26th June 2016 in Mali, high level visit to Mali by Vice President Hamid Ansari on 29th-30th Sep 2016 along with Indian assistance of million dollars for reconstruction of World Heritage site of TIMBUKTU strengthened bilateral relations claimed Mali envoy.

H.V.S. Krishna Honorary Mali Consul in Bengaluru graced the program. KET Director Jeetendra Singh was the chief organizer. Mali student Betrand Wilfred welcomed all. Traditional arti & tika was applied on the forehead of all guests. Assam student Ms. Myona compared the program while students of Mali, Nepal & India performed dances on the occasion. Principal Dr. M. Bharthi proposed Vote of Thanks. Five topper Students of Mali in India were honored by Ambassador Niankoro Yeah Samake & BJP leader Vijay Jolly.
