US–Israel Strikes Intensify on Iran; Trump Seeks NATO Support as Regional Tensions Rise
Iran War Updates: US and Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment of Iran, targeting several major cities including Tehran, Hamadan, and Isfahan. The attacks come as Iran continues to launch counterstrikes, with reports of damage emerging from multiple cities across Israel.
Amid the escalating conflict, US President Donald Trump said Washington is in contact with Tehran regarding a possible end to the war. However, according to Trump, Iranian authorities are not yet prepared to agree to a deal that would halt the fighting.
The US president also called on allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to assist in securing and reopening the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route through which a large portion of the world’s oil supply passes.
Meanwhile, authorities in Dubai reported that a drone-related incident sparked a fire near the city’s international airport. Officials said the blaze has since been contained. At the same time, regional countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia reported intercepting drones and missiles entering their airspace.
In another development, Israel has launched new waves of attacks on southern Lebanon, while massing tanks and additional forces along the border. Lebanese authorities say the death toll has risen to around 850 people, including more than 100 children, as the violence spreads across the region.
The rapidly expanding conflict has heightened fears of a broader regional war in the Middle East, with multiple countries now reporting security incidents and military activity linked to the ongoing hostilities. Latest casualty figures and developments continue to emerge as the situation evolves.
