Association of Asia Pacific Union (AAPU) and Press club of India (PCI) signed a MoU on 16th December, 2024 for taking forward the sustainable development of Asia pacific countries with focus on climate change, trade promotion , culture connect and media & communication. The MoU will combine experience and experties of both the organisations for achieving the goals .
Dr B R Jain General Sec. (AAPU) and Shri Neeraj Thakur Sec. General (PCI) signed the MoU in the presense of Shri Gautam Lahiri (President PCI) and Shri J S Saluja President (AAPU) .
It was founded in 2001 in New Delhi, India, by former Ambassador Dr. Beni Prasad Agarwal and other like-minded intellectuals. AAU has been relentlessly working to promote trade among Asian Nations since 2001.
AAU also organised a conference on 19th Jan 2023 at India International Center in which diplomats of several countries paricipated on the theme of ” sustainable development in Asia Pacific for peace and prosperity, focusing on climate change , culture connect and health .
The AAU&APC has been organizing Conferences, Seminars etc. since August 2001, contacting Asian intellectuals and governments to promote its goals.
AAPU is regularly working with like minded NGOs , Societies and individuals across the globe. In this series, this MOU between AAPU and Press Club of India (PCI) has been signed.
Speaking on the ocassion, AAPU President Shri JS Saluja stated that the idea of AAPU will spread across the world through the intellectuals of the country. He expressed hope that like minded organizations will be soon joining AAPU
for bringing Asian unity. “Undoubtedly, this initiative will pave the way for peace in India and the other democratic countries of the world, and people’s faith in democracy will also be strengthened”, said Shri Saluja.
Many renowned media persons of the country expressed happiness over the signing of this MoU, which may help in starting Asia Economic Corridor.
