In cricket, Tamil Nadu lifted the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy defeating Karnataka. Batsman M. Shahrukh Khan smashed a dramatic last-ball six to help Tamil Nadu defend the T-20 title with a thrilling four-wicket win in the summit clash in Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi today.
Needing 16 runs off the last over bowled by Prateek Jain, power-hitter Khan kept his cool under pressure to clobber the final delivery to take Tamil Nadu to 153 for six and seal the win. Shahrukh Khan was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
Earlier, put in to bat first, Karnataka scored 151 runs for seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
