PM must remove to Mr. Amit Shah, demanded Dr. Idrees Qureshi

“Dr. Idrees Qureshi, President of the Delhi unit of the All India Muslim Muslim Majlis e Mashawarat, has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi immediately remove Home Minister Amit Shah from his cabinet position. Dr. Qureshi stated that a person who does not believe in the law and democracy should not hold the office of Home Minister.

He said that at a time when the government has formed a joint parliamentary committee on the Waqf Amendment Bill and people across the country are giving their opinions, the Home Minister’s statement that the bill will be passed in Parliament is a contempt of both the law and Parliament.

Dr. Qureshi emphasized that a person who considers themselves above the law and Parliament, does not have the right to hold the office of Home Minister.

He questioned the purpose of the joint parliamentary committee and why the country is being misled and crores of rupees are being wasted when the Home Minister has already decided to pass the bill.

Qureshi warned that Indian Muslims will not silently watch this destruction and appealed to the justice-loving people of the country to stand with them in protecting democracy and the Constitution.”
