Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Weaving Global Solidarity for a Gender-Equal Future
New Delhi : Two days ( 21-22 March,2024) 2nd International conference organised by Indian Society for training & developments (ISTD) was inaugrated on 21st March 2024 at Scope Complex New Delhi . The conference deliberated on “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” means (the world is one family ) and gender equal future.
The theme underscored the importance of global collaboration and solidarity in achieving gender equality. The conference explored challenges and solutions across diverse cultures and contexts.
The theme also emphasized the UN’s focus on sustainable development and gender equality, while incorporating the Indian philosophy of global oneness. It highlighted the need for collective action across borders and sectors to ensure that women thrive in a sustainable future.
The conference on firstday i.e. 21st March, 2024 was addressed by Ms.Aneeta Madhok , Managing Director -Open Spaces Consulting and Chairperson of Women Empowerment Committee. She spoke about Training Need Analysis.
Janet JaJolaoso , Past President – Nigerian Institute of Training & Development in his address, said Nigeria and India have similar cultures and its great to partner with ISTD. She congratulated ISTD for doing a great job for mentoring, support and training women in different discipline.
Shri Uttam Lal, Director (HR) NHPC mentioned that chapter 6 of Mahabharata talks about Vasudaiva Kutumbakam, our history has names of Ahilya Bai, Rani Jhansi, Kannagi and today we have seen a special flight with all ladies crew from Sanfransico to Bangalore, which shows that positive results are coming out.

Shri Uddhesh Kohli, President Emeritus ISTD and Secretary General, IFTDO said ISTD collaboration with IFTDO is strongly working on developing Women Youth and Entrepreneur’s of India with prime focus on humanity.
2nd day of the Conference of welcomed the Waterman of India , Dr. Rajendra Singh as 22nd March is also “ World Water Day” declared by United Nations General Assembly in the year 1992.
Dr. Rajendra Singh shared his challenges and his work as environmentalist, water conservationist highlighting what made him work to promote the sustainable use of water resources in India and around the world.
He stated that he is a strong believer of Neer ke saath Naari, Nari ka flow is like nadi. He ensured that everyone chants with him In Neer, Nari , Nadi and Narayan as a mark of respect to both Nari and Neer.
Dr Rajendra Singh distributed the Awards for to the Winners of Rangoli , Poster and songs and dance Competition. The participants were from South Gujarat University.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, Past Presidents of ISTD, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development.
Dr Ranjan Mohapatra chaired the First Panel discussion on the topic “Weaving the Tapestry of Tomorrow, Corporate Champions of Gender Equality “ . Prominent outcome of the discussion was 3Ds Diagnose (50), Develop (30%), Delivery (20%) while dealing with any problem.
During this important session, Editor in Chief of TOP News Ali Aadil Khan, considering the all-round efforts of ISTD, recommended Anita Chauhan’s name to participate in the upcoming Brazil G 20 summit.
Dr AC Joshi chaired the Second Panel discussion on “ Weaving the Tapestry of Tomorrow, Academia’s Guiding Light. Prominent outcome was Inclusiveness . Academia and Trainers both must work to ensure that Gender Equality is measured. Gap exists between academia and industry today in India and efforts need to be speeded up to bring both closer to achieve sustainable growth and development in the country.
Major Dr Gulshan Sharma led the 3rd Panel Discussion on Building Together Global Solutions Across Borders, Hand in Hand Shakti Samruddi and Sadbuddhi. Dr Aneeta Madhok led the 4th Panel Discussion on Speeding towards One World One Future. Anshul Sharma led the 5th Panel Youth Stitching the Future: From Aspiration to Action Threads of Ancient Wisdom .
Speed and endurance make a runner. Sunita Godara mentioned that Women marathoners prize money was less than male marathon winners till the then honourable Prime Minister Sh Rajiv Gandhi addressed this discrimination.
6th Panel discussion was led by Ms. Anshul Sharma Youth Stitching the Future: From Aspiration to Action : Youth is a state of mind and should not be defined by age. One must remain happy and strive to achieve the dreams. Kandhon se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hai,hum jalte hain jab aise dil dushman ke hilte hain. Dr. Satpathy from NBCC connected Mahabharata with various management principles.
Shri Aditya Ghidyal highlighted that ISTD is doing a great job of Nation Building by organising such events and inviting esteemed dignitaries and sharing their views for the benefit of all of us.
Summarizing the conference, Ms.Aneeta Madhok ,Chairperson of Women Empowerment Committee stated that there were many best practices shared, insights, experiences, motivational stories of inclusivity, gender equality, creative innovation, new ideas and trends shared by the galaxy of eminent speakers and panelists facilitated by session Chairpersons who moderated with excellence on the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Weaving Global Solidarity for a Gender-Equal Future’.
Ms. Anita Chauhan , National President, ISTD in the closing remarks thanked all the esteemed Guests, Panellist who spared time to share their views during the conference . She also mentioned about four to five new assignments which ISTD will get with the support from IFTDO. She extended her heart felt thanks to Ms. Jaoloso for attending this 2 day event Online from Nigeria with her colleagues.
