The FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup has commenced in Odisha capital Bhubaneswar today. The inaugural match was played in the iconic Kalinga Stadium between Belgium and South Africa with the former clinching the match by 5-1.

In another match Germany and Pakistan today locked horns for victory. Half way through the game, while Germany has secured 4 goals, Pakistan is trailing behind with only one. In the the latter part of the day reigning champion India will take on France. A total of 16 teams are competing for the prestigious World Cup who will fight it out till the fifth of December in the Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar. The mega sporting event is scheduled to be formally inaugurated by the honourable Governor of Odisha towards the evening today.
